I mean the actual "pip to hatch" stage. Takes forever. These are my Anconas. Two pipped now, other 5 rocking like crazy

How long before I should intervene? The one that pipped yesterday morning hasn't done anything else. It's still chirping/moving, just hasn't progressed past external pip.

Once they internally pip I give them 12-16 hours to external pip. If they don't I make them a safe hole. If they do, or after making the safe hole, I give them 24 hours to start zipping. If they don't I help.
