Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Sorry for your injuries baby Dianne. Hope shell be ok. They're pretty resilient little boogers. No matter how much we love our babies, accidents still happen.

LOL @ Lori & Krista. At least Krista won't have to go quite as far as VA as Dianne is in NV :)

Very true!! Plus Nevada is beautiful!!

Btw you aren't helping by claiming swaps so I can claim yours and get call eggs =p

So far Five out of Six still going strong, I did open the one and there was nothing but a little tiny dot.  Like he stopped on day One.  LOL  But the others are doing strong.  I wish I could ship all my eggs like that but man that would be EXPENSIVE.  Perhaps I will if there first batch fails.  HUM

Tammy when I sent you Milles, laying them down did they do OK?

They all made it safely but only 2 in the first batch hatched and none in the 2nd.

Hi guys! I LOVE reading this thread you all are SO funny... I love watching the development of all of the hatchlings! And Lacrystol you are a god send! I'm fifteen and I own two baby ducks, a Pekin and a Cayuga... They are 4 weeks and 2 weeks old. Yesterday I was at Tractor Supply and they had just gotten in a new shipment of Rouen ducklings and what I think were Welsh Harlequin... $2.50 a head.. There were maybe thirty in that brooder, my boyfriend and I contemplated buying all of them without telling anyone.. But then mom called and said she knew I was at TSC and DO NOT buy more ducks... Start your addiction young..

You know blame my paranoia but I think I'll waste the gas and come pick them up!!! I could just see a mailman shaking the box. Lol

Yeah. That's how I am too. I drove to pick up the creole polish eggs the other day. I have some now if you want to pick up tonight or tomorrow night or if you want to wait until the next collection that's fine too. Just let me know before I set the ones I have tonight.

LOL. That's a lot of ducks. What a mess that would be raising them all together. 10 at a time is my new set limit lol. I say that as I have 14 in the incubator and another 11 going in tonight if Krista doesn't want some of them LOL

You're all so lucky you can do whatever you want with the ducks! Although I'm happy I have my limits right now, I can barely keep up with the mess and their medicine.
