Call Ducks Finally Hatched

You know go figure my nieces and nephew are coming over today and NONE are pipped. Really?! It's day 26, the eggs look good, they are moving, rocking, so what, is UP?!

LOL. Good reasoning. That's why I'm collecting 24 eggs at a time to put under my hens when they get broody. They're big girls, they can handle it. And then I'll know....

They knew company was coming and they couldn't get to the Salon in time, so they are having to do it themselves. You know it TAKES hours to get each piece of hair/fur perfect, then the make OH man the make up alone there's another 3 to 4 hours. Then if they want highlightes or a different color. GOOD LORD, what us babies go threw.. LOL

I have been having people wanting me so sell them ducklings for their kids, for Easter! You know, the kids forget about them until they later find the bodies!! Not my ducks!

The first in query threw me off, luckily I thought quick, and told her $50 each, and then suggested she would get a better price at the feed store. I don't like Easter at all now!!! I am going to be too busy putting up a new duck house, no Easter ducks.

Ok I am through venting.

My wounded duck is doing just fine, and is out with the others! My ducks started a funny habit. They all lay in one nest, while one hen sits on it. So I find nests with all different kinds of eggs, that are starting to develop. I suspect two of those eggs might be Clousert's Mandarins. Or maybe small chickens? Will have to wait and see. If the hatch in 21 days they will be chickens! I have to look up the gestation for Mandies.

I know. I hate the Easter hype too. It's the same with chicks and bunnies too.

Not my mandies lol. You will just have to ship the ducklings to me Mine tend to lay in the same nest too but my ducks are separated from my chickens. Mandies are usually tree layers but anything is possible lol. Fingers crossed that all babies hatch for you. Let me know if and when you still want to swap some eggs. I have an order that I'm collecting for this week but will have more next week
