So I just talked to a lady yesterday. She has a pair of calls from Holderread. (Yeeeekkk!!!!) she can't get any to hatch. She's had like 4 batches die and only one survived. I had her talk me through how she was incubating and yup that was her problem, had them on an autoturner and she had the humidity too high.
She's going to bring me some eggs and I'm going to give her some ducklings. I already have greys but I don't even care, they are from Holderread!!!!!
I think a lot of people think that way. They think because ducks are waterfowl you need the humidty really HIGh, Plus there's a LOT of sites that say you should have it high But what they are NOT reading Is those sites that say HIGH humidity is for a WET BULB. NOT to many people have wet bulbs, they have regular gages so therefore the humidity is going to be Totally different......
