Call Ducks Finally Hatched

So I just talked to a lady yesterday. She has a pair of calls from Holderread. (Yeeeekkk!!!!) she can't get any to hatch. She's had like 4 batches die and only one survived. I had her talk me through how she was incubating and yup that was her problem, had them on an autoturner and she had the humidity too high.

She's going to bring me some eggs and I'm going to give her some ducklings. I already have greys but I don't even care, they are from Holderread!!!!!

I think a lot of people think that way. They think because ducks are waterfowl you need the humidty really HIGh, Plus there's a LOT of sites that say you should have it high But what they are NOT reading Is those sites that say HIGH humidity is for a WET BULB. NOT to many people have wet bulbs, they have regular gages so therefore the humidity is going to be Totally different......

OK what's wrong with Holderread???

HAY TAMMY GUESS WHAT?

It seems like your problem and mine is a continueing problem, found another post on BYC where the call ducks are dying off while zipping and externally peeping.

SO PEACH, be RIGHT THERE FOR HATCHING DAY ON YOURS!!

Your best bet right now is to candle those eggs, If you can send a pic that would be great, then we can see if you are going to have a STICKY issue or not.

Nothing!! Hers are from Holderread's and I WANT Holderrread bloodlines!!!! So she's trading me eggs.

I was going to buy a pair of blue butterscotch from Holderread, but the pair was $100 and shipping was $85. I would have ponied up the $109 but $85 is just too much for me to spend. I am on a waiting list with Foley's for a pair of 2014 butterscotch in the fall.

Sure I'll take some pictures now, they are on day 15. I will turn the turner off. Do they need to be cooled every so often as I have that option too.

I have NEVER cooled mine, when you say Turner are you taping them to the Turner so they are still laying down? Or do you have them in an upright Position? You can lay them down and tape them and you'll be OK..
