Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Sorry been super busy lately so haven't updated. I am swimming in call ducklings.

Clousert the pieds from you are feathering out awesome. The light one actually looks apricot. I will have to send you some pictures and get your opinion on her. Absolutely beautiful, and definite keeper.

If anyone's interested in ducklings let me know!!! I have plenty for sale.

Awesome. You will definitely have to send pics.

Going to try and grab some this morning when I go out to feed!

Need some help for a friend with an issue. She bought a trio of white call ducks a month ago. The hens have been laying soft eggs. She's tried oyster shell, as well as a few other things and no such luck, eggs are still soft.

Any ideas??? I was completely lost. Anytime I've gotten soft shells it cleared up after a couple days of oyster shells.

Soft shells can be normal in new environment as they adjust. Can also be caused if sleep is disturbed by say a predator lurking around the coop during the night, etc

I've tried scrolling through this whole thread; wow is it long & filled w/ good stuff! Here are the 6 call ducks we successfully hatched this year. They are about 4-5 weeks old right now. Any ideas on sex & final color?

They're adorable. Congrats. They all look to be snowys. Wouldn't give a final answer on sex until they were in full plumage but I would guess 5 drakes and 1 hen. The males will all get a iridescent green head and the hen's head will stay that apricot color. Best part about snowys is that they're all different, different spots of different colors in different places.
