Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hanging in there, he's about a week behind compare to the other two.  I weighed him and he weighs a WHOLE WHAPPING  4 1/8 ounce.  He's gaining weight but not as much as I would like for him to be..  His siblings are doubled that already..
That's not good. He isn't as healthy. Hopefully he will hang in there

I know and I have read a lot of forms and sites that say when they get slipped tendon, you basically have two choices. Surgery or Cull. I'm not one to cull. He's using it, he's getting around, I did notice during swim time, he is now keeping the leg behind him, where before he was flaring it out to the side of him. So there's Little progress.

He's not getting worst but he's not recovering very quickly..

Cull?

I had a tailless call duck at one time that I took care of, I guess a one legged call isn't to crazy..

I just can't figure out what to do, you see his siblings will be going outside soon, I always send my babies out when they turn 3 weeks but keeping these guys in longer for two reasons,
one because of the blue fawn and
two because it's been to cold to try and let them be outside permanently.
We are waiting for more feathers to come in.

But Since the blue fawn isn't growing as fast as them, I'm gonna have to separate them at one point. I Know he's going to have a FIT..

Culling is the death chamber.  Putting him down.
Oh don't do that :(

I couldn't I just don't have the heart, I figure hes eating, he's drinking, he's playing, hes swimming, hes OK. He has a little limp to his walk but he is using the leg. Hes not complaining or acting as though he's in a lot of pain so we are just going to go with the flow...

He struggles with certain things, like standing in the tub when the water drains because that one leg just slides right out from underneath him..
