Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Humn...... I dont think so.... when my grey starts laying again (didnt lay yesterday) I would trade in a heartbeat. I would also pay for the girls.....

How are the eggs looking today?

Perdy laid me her third egg this morning!

I'm praying I got it out the cold quick enough. There wasn't any cracks or anything, it looked perfect. It was really cold though.

I immediately brought it in with her other two and swaddled it up in a blanket. Hopefully she'll have me another tomorrow, then in the incubator they're going! How do you do lock down if you have two hatch dates? I don't have two hatch dates as of right now. I might though. If my Perdy continues laying, I would like to add those next Saturday!

I don't think you can, whenever my first eggs are to go on lockdown i stop turning and usually the eggs are close neough to each other by 2 days or such that it doesnt matter , well it does sometime, but all of my eggs usually hatch.

The guy said that all of his pairs are laying so after i get mine settled sometime this year i should have my own baby calls,

maybe, some ducklings mature faster than others in the egg in my experience, but then again calls seem harder to hatch than mallards.

If it starts to sweat, then is got to cold.... You should collect your eggs up to two weeks and then put them all in at the same time. keep turning them at least once a day and keep them in a cool place usually the basement is what I have heard but I have heard it doesn't make a difference.

No, you can go as far as two weeks after that they decrease in fertility.. Less day the better, the more days the least chances.
