Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Oh ok. Because that is one beautiful bird!!!! I had the chance to pick up some magpies but none looked like that so I didnt. They looked more like ancona. But not enough like ancona to sell or breed as ancona and not enough black to be magpie. :(. It was a shame because they had very good characteristics other than color.

I only have 1 pair of blue magpies. They both have too much color. I'm going to try to work on that this year but not sure how it's going to work out with a move coming this year. May have to wait until next year. Learycow has magpies. You may talk to her about getting some eggs if you're interested.

I might, might not..... I am working on an aviary right now and have animals everywhere while I try to "renovate" the duck pen into an aviary. I have 3 chickens, 4 doves, and 4 call ducks in my wood shop!

Poor lil' guy...I hope the other one's okay, day 15 is around the time the embryo starts turning towards the large end of the shell, so it may be that they get confused or turn sideways so they get squished up in the middle instead of growing outward lengthwise like they're supposed to. That's just speculation, though.
I'm thinking the same thing. they need to be lengthwise to continue to develop and having them in an upright position puts them out of place.

Perdy laid me her fourth egg this morning!

I'm hoping she'll lay me her 5th tomorrow and her 6th Monday, then in the incubator they're going!

Her first egg was laid on Valentine's Day, that's the right amount of time right? Barely over a week since her first egg laid.

NICE, hope they are fertiled. LOL
