Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Yes there is a demand for mallards, well for snowy's and other colors, people use them for eggs and meat, they can go up to 50 a pair just for greys. Also the safeness for mallards since the wild ones up north carry many more diseases than those that spend most of there time in the south.

Its a Dna test as long as any other breeds are not present as in if other breeds show up they cannot be over 1 to 2.5% in the bird say for instance a rouen and a mallard had kids, the dna test would show larger mss and more heaver meat, that how you know its half rouen. stuff like that my vet does it.

I personally have black mallards and grey ones, the blacks were hard to get but i did it myself with some dusky mallards and darker greys. all of my mallards are 100%mallard which is quite impressive since so many farms out there lie and sell mixed breeds usually mixed with calls or something else to get other colors.

OMG, they are sooo cute. So if you take a call and breed it with a mallard then take that kid and breed it back with a mallard, what that still be considered Mixed? Because it would only have 1/4 of call in it, while the rest of it would be 75% mallard??
