guys it is not a good day after getting home i found one of my rouens gone ive looked forabout an hour now, there is now sign of a struggle, no blood, nothing is out there,

i honestly think he must have drowned even though i did not see him, that like the only other possibility, unless he ran away, which he wouldnt do since his mate is still here.

I do not use the Weigh eggs method either, Personally I think its a waste.  LOL just gives you something to do while your waiting for the due date. LOL HUm interesting pic but that's not what I was pertaining to..

Fyi, my "waste" is to get MY humidity correct. With humidity being such a flexible topic, the only consistent thing I have found is weight loss. So I AM TRYING IT FOR MYSELF. Every reputable source I have read says that waterfowl need to lose 13-16% (some variance depending on source) in order to hatch. To ME, that's pretty scientific.

Oops, hit the submit button before I was finished.
So... To ME, I'm trying the method to discover what MY humidity should be! Variances occur for local humidity levels, rain fall, outside temps, etc. Say what you want, but the weight loss method is consistent.
IF I find that it doesn't work for me, then I will report as such. But to blow someone off is just rude. I know its your thread and your opinion, so no need to reply, I won't be around to read it.
I must add that you have proven yourself with some fantastic advice for some folks. And I respect that, but belittling and condescending is beyond my tolerance.

@Lacrystol you think I should mist all my eggs in the bator once a week, even though I already fill the center trough with warm water twice a week? Then for lock down, both the center and outer troughs. My worry and concern doing them both, is that it could be too much a high humidity for my little baby ducklings?

I didn't mist or sponge with my Mallards at all and they had a 92% hatch rate. So, what do you think would be best for my babies?

I thought Calls were to be shipped in bulk? At least 6 together at a time, especially as babies. Couldn't shipping one lonesome baby duckling turn out bad for him? Not worth the risk
