I thought Calls were to be shipped in bulk? At least 6 together at a time, especially as babies. Couldn't shipping one lonesome baby duckling turn out bad for him? Not worth the risk

I wouldn't ship a day-old or anything. I'd likely raise it them up for a week or two before sending them off.

Seems simple enough. He lives indoors, so he's obviously disease-free and in a good, clean environment.

Oh, please don't take that as in non-house ducks aren't clean! I just meant they can't hold the whole bird flu epidemic over my head since we're very careful to keep him inside and wash our hands religiously after coming back home

In other news, I re-candled the three eggs in the still-air bator and sure enough, they're all completely clear. Sigh. The temp spike from yesterday did 'em in. All I can do now is hope against hope that the three remaining ones all hatch.

Yeah its not that hard..... Just expensive for one bird. I dont know about in Washington but in PA it is 300 dollars for the flock no matter what size. 1 bird or 300.....
