That seems strangely low to me.....Yep! Shipping was $26, but I only had to pay for 48 eggs, he's sending me about fifteen extra.

Maybe, he does get good feedback though. And it was supposedly a "sale". His other listings are not a sale. Oh well, I guess we'll find out. That seems strangely low to me.....
Hummmm.... I've always read that no matter what you're supposed to let shipped eggs settle or something. I'll follow the expert's advice though...! And so the whole three times a day turning is a no? Only once a day?
Just shipping price seems low....Maybe, he does get good feedback though. And it was supposedly a "sale". His other listings are not a sale. Oh well, I guess we'll find out.
I'm no expert when it comes to shipped eggs, but the gal that sent me pea eggs suggested I should let them rest fat end up for 24-48 hours, which I did, and five of six developed, but only four hatched. All six of mine had very jiggly air cells.

AH okay. So I will need to get egg cartons then. I'll get them when I get to TSC. Found out they wont be here until Monday, so we have time. I'm relying on you guys!AHH Ok let me try to clarify.. with shipped eggs, you have to incubate them in and Upright position and shift them slightly back n forth or front to back once a day. The Rule for turning them THree times a day ONLY applies when they have started to develop OR the air cell looks perfectly fine, which usually happens with your own eggs, not shipped.
I guess I should be clearer, lol... Mark all eggs with a different number, then candle all and make notes on quality of air cell, like note if it's jiggly, attached or loose, then set all of them and see what happens. If any are cracked, you might want to toss those, but some peafowl people have used Elmers glue or wax to seal the cracks and set them.
