Call Ducks Finally Hatched

These were eggs I bought so the parents were a mix of colors.
But I have a chocolate ancona female that I plan to mate with some of my whites and my blue penciled pied drake to see if I can get some chocolate babies.
If I had a chocolate drake I could mate him with my black ancona hens to get sex linked babies!

Well if I hatch a few extra males out of my chocos I will let you know! Though my male turns out to be bibbed? When I bought him no bib, after the first moult a small white bib!

Two Hatched out Thursday and the other two slow pokers hatched out Friday. Take a look at my NEW babies...

You know... as these guys get bigger, it is hard to keep their play pens clean!!!!

Maybe I will make them a heated house in the duckling run...

I find those brinsea brooder heaters work good if you put them in the duck house.
