Call Ducks Finally Hatched

So my trio of black silkie ducks arrived yesterday...
My plan? To breed them with my ancona calls and see if, after a few generations, i can get silkied ancona call ducks!!! I'm so excited!
Wow! you have ancona calls? Do you have pictures? How did you breed to get them?

This is a very beautiful duck. Is it your "want'a be Magpie"? If so mine are want'a be's too. This is how mine are turning out.
LOL, well he would be my Second wanna be. LOL,, My other one is very similar. I don't know why his beak looks soo long because it's only about a finger nail, must be the way I took the pic. He's a very very small duck and yet the pic makes him look soo big, He's about 1/4 of a pound..

Can you pm me with how you want them wrapped up for shipping? I am thinking of bubble wrapped in wood shavings.
Doesn't matter to me, I have used newspapers, I have used egg cartons.. Do not get crazy.. LOL Let me know the cost..

OMG, AND SHE'S ADORABLE. AWEEEEEE

These are most of them :)

Whites with pieds or mismarked magpies seem to make the best "ancona" call babies :) I can't wait to see what I hatch this year as most I added to the flock last summer.
I have white, and I have pieds, but what about Wanna Be magpies?? LOL

My little yellow baby has four grey siblings! Two are still in the incubator, one is fluffing out and one is still partially in it's egg absorbing the rest of it's yolk!

I eggtopsied the four that didn't make it. Two were greys that had internally pipped but couldn't reach the shell to externally pip and I feel terrible about it. The other two were breach (my first two ever breach babies) and unfortunately I had no idea. To make matters worse both of the breach babies were YELLOW babies

I'm just so happy that I have my one yellow miracle baby. He or she is VERY loved!
