Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Put a n add on Craigslist to sell my last hatch of 4 babies because i've got a couple dozen calls out there in the pen and need to downsize. But when somebody answered the add and wanted to buy all my babies i told them they were aleady sold and then i went and deleted the Craigslist add. Tell me, am i becoming a duck hoarder? I'm thinking maybe if i wait until they feather out all the way, maybe i'll have a better idea of their quality and maybe i would want to keep them rather than cull them. It's not easy to part with call duck babies! :○

NO your not a hoarder, your ADDICTED. that's what Addition does to a person, they want to keep them all. LOL,, WELCOME TO OUR WORLD.

Crash & Burn are very worn out babies...

LOL, I love it when they to the back feet paddle. LOL

Raccoons, bit the heads off, that's where the most protein is, and they are excellent climbers.. they would go HIGH before they go low.
not always true. I had a serious issue with coon in the past. They would dig under our fence before they would ever climb over. Caught them on video doing it. They would eat all the meat and organs or take the whole bird. In the end we caught 15 coons in 13 nights with a live trap. Haven't caught one since.

Ugh, I hate raccoons...the woman I bought my home from used to feed them or something because it's been five years and they STILL come up to my back window and beg! I'm petrified to let the cats or the ducks out cuz of them. They sure are smart but boy, are they mean!

I can remember waking up one morning to let everyone out to free range and seeing FEATHERS everywhere, THREE Raccoons got into the coop and ate the heads off of FIFTY CHICKENS. Bodies EVERYWHERE with NO HEADS. they came and just ate the heads off of my chickens. they do this because they need too STORE FAT for the winter, otherwise they would not be able to survive with the harsh cold weather.

We have Caught one in the COOP hanging from the light, Shot it, it fell and both my dogs finished it. They didn't eat it, just killed it. The Jack Russel grab it by the throat and the mastiff, well I'm not sure what his job was but he just held it down, I guess to make sure it doesn't get up or move about. LOL he's a pretty dumb dog. LOL

I don't think that alone means you're a "hoarder." I don't let mine go while they're babies. You can't tell when they're babies what you'll have when they grow up, and that's really important if you're breeding. You want to keep your best ones as breeders for the next few seasons.

I've got Winter on Grower/Finisher as she is 3 months old and I've got my two day old babies on Starter/Grower. Any recommendations for a 'Flock Raiser' I can feed both Winter and my two day old babies? I'd love to only have to get one bag of duck feed! Thank y'all in advance! :)

I now use Purina Flock Raiser... for all ages... recommend it highly...

I'm looking for Grey, Snowy, Butterscotch, or Pastel Call duck hatching eggs. Anyone that still has hens laying this season, please comment below or pm me. I'm very interested in 6+ or more. Thanks so much in advance! :)
