NORMALLY they don't start till March. The hen I have still that's the sister to yours is not laying yet either. Just my 3 older breeders

I don't think normal describes this season or these birds, lol... Lady Grey and Crash normally shouldn't have started laying the same year they hatched either...

it is a nasty system all the poultry people do not truely care for their birds and the judgeing system is ver messed up my purebred great show quality rouen lost to a mixed breed, so i just dont like it.

all my other chickens are fine, havent had any die in a while, no new food or exposed to new areas, i guess it was one of those freak things, this has been a month or so ago he was a few years old

Any signs? Like breathing issues? Silkies are the WORST as far as getting sick.. OMG, one day they are fine, the next day BOOM down..
