hey friends

On day 18 of call duck incubation and this little one has what appears to be an extra air sac? The baby is moving so obviously it’s alive. The other 3 eggs look normal and are moving as well. What is this?

Yes it was shipped. Will this prevent the little one from hatching?

It shouldn't. The part you are seeing down the side is just where the membrane was slightly pulled away from inside the shell. The membrane is still there, it just didn't reattach to the wall inside.
If you hold the egg straight up, with the air cell on top, then tilt it, do you see it float, or does it stay in place now?

I can’t tell that it moves. The color of the shell makes it hard to see in there.

The air cell is probably not moving now, but it probably did when you first got them. It should be fine to hatch with no problem. :fl

Beautiful drake in your avatar pic, by the way!
