Call Ducks- Noise level?

Mine are as loud as my silkie rooster, but they don't make noise as often as he does, he crows every 60 seconds in the am, I timed him the other morning.

If I have a drake(s), but they are only surrounded by hens...Will they still get really loud and aggressive or that's only with their own species? I'm assuming its the latter but I did not want to make a false assumption.

A drake with chickens is bad news because they may try to mate chickens and that can really injure the chicken. Drakes are quiet in general because they don't honk/quack like females. They really can't get that loud because they are unable.

My female call duck is incredibly loud! I can't believe my neighbours havnt complained yet. I love her to pieces but I have considered rehoming her because she is so noisy.

Call ducks can drive you mad. Especially when they start their daily routine at five in the morning. Each day I swear I am getting rid of them only to completely change my mind when I go out to take care of them.
They are adorable. They relax me, when the do shut up, to watch them swim and cavort in the water. There is no doubt they are worth the noise level if you can calm down the neighbors or move to an isolated island in the Pacific. lol
They enjoy the water more so than the larger ducks, or so it seems and the water requirement, wading pools, sure beats buying a stock tank although that would be pretty neat if you have a good water source.
Give them some thought.

Oh, don't you dare! Call ducks are the best! They're such adorable little round fat chubby-cheeked ducklets. They're just so amazingly friendly and affectionate, I can't live without them! Yours isn't all by her lonesome, is she? Does she have other calls to keep her company?

And for what it's worth I have soundproofing in the upstairs walls so my neighbors haven't complained, either.

I have a pair of Mallard colored calls that start quacking when the sun comes up at the ducks in the other pen across the yard I house them separately because they fight The male pulls the tail feathers of the Anconas that are 3 times as big as he is. The Muscovy in the pen with the calls doesn't like the Anconas either. They are quiet during the day, but in the early morning hours when everyone is sleeping they are loud I go out and try to shush them with treats because my neighbors are elderly and need to sleep at that hour, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't They are pretty aggressive as ducks go, and not even sexually mature yet.

I have found the blue fawns to be the noisiest and the most aggressive. Little whites have never given me any kind of problems nor have the grey Calls.
Before I sell any Calls to customers I make sure they understand what could be a problem.
The only time it seems to be a problem is when they want their food or new water or the sun is coming up too early...lol
I NEVER EVER run any other breed of duck with them as they are too small to compete and worry too much about other ducks wandering into their territory.
If you use common sense and make sure what you are buying is not going to be a problem for your neighbors, then YOU won't have any problem. Be sure to research the varieties but keep the whites in mind for the least problematic.

I have two call ducks that look like small female Mallards. However one is a male the other a female. I got them from a farmer who gave them to me for free because they had been attacked by a weasel and were limping. Their mother was rejecting them because they were older, so took them. They are the noiseyest things I have ever had. Worse than my roosters. They call in the middle of the night when I open the front door to take the dogs out. They are making the noise at 6 and sometimes 5 am and make the noise throughout the day. They have water, food and nice dry bedding and a palace of a house because they are in there by themselves. I have 3 Ancona ducks that are quiet and stay in a house I built for them. They are regular layers even in the freezing cold, but the calls lay nothing. I let them swim every day in their pen with a pool. They are not friendly and I would not recommend them as they give me nothing but headaches. I don't know why they are making the noise constantly. The only thing they have learned is when I say "get in your house" they will because they know I'm coming and they don't like to be picked up. I had a Muscovy duck in with them to begin with but she flew off, I wouldn't recommend the Muscovy either because they seem more wild and flighty. They are quiet, but if they get out, they can fly high like up on your roof and good luck, they won't come down. The only way I could "catch" mine was to shine a bright light in her eyes in the darkness so that she couldn't see me coming. She finally left and a hunter probably got her because of her light coloring. The Anconas have been perfect ducks, and friendly too. The only problem is they waste a ton of food blowing it all out in their water. Ducks are a lot of work. So are chickens but I think they are more self sufficient and smarter.
