That it takes 2 years to train them..Mine learn quickly..Bindi has worked really well since a year old and gets better with age of course. Lucy has always done good with trying..Today Poppy needed out but Casanova can't come out so Poor Lucy was confused as to who should stay in so she would not let Poppy out either till I scolded her by saying off. Once Poppy was out Lucy gave her a little chase..:lau
I've been pondering it since you posted, and I think it mostly has been my boxers, they are forever clowns, and are rough on chickens. So I think you are right and I'm just remembering the hard and not the simple. I think it wasn't actually years, but just felt like it at the time because I was going through chemo too when Rosie was a pup. I'm also getting old lady brain.
:old So ignore my original statement about how long it lasts.

I'll have to get a picture of Bindi with Bunny Boy..Soft eyes and never so intense..Or my Ducks.. she knows better.
My Aussies never even look at the birds or bunnies. My rat Chihuahua is in between. She loves to chase my ducks but isn't interested in catching them. If I catch a bird, she suddenly wants to eat them, so she's all over the place, but is mostly harmless.

That's the only time Bindi gets worked up is if I catch a Bird...She gets defensive..I have to tell her off to get her to relax..
