Yep, all 12 of my quail are Coturnix.

How old is he and maybe teeth need floating asap?

No. Teeth were floated while he was in QT. He is said to be around 18. I dont trust that though so when vet comes out we will have her verify. Allie was said to be 20 but has an obvious top hook and possibly bottom so more between 7-14. Depending on the bottom. I think she is around 8 bc top hook is starting to disappear..... She is more lively and youthful acting than Rose and Nature Boy who are 18 and 16.

So I got home and my son comes up to my car bawling that Stumpy (the other leghorn that is eggbound) is dead in the yard. I walked over to her and she popped right up. I looked at her vent and she had half a broken egg sticking out of her vent. So I brought her in and soaked her butt in warm water and then gently worked the egg shell out. I cleaned her up and gave her some more calcium gluconate and she is by the heat now relaxing. She did eat a little and drink a little. I don't expect her to make it, but here is a pic of the egg that I pulled out of her:

It's crazy that I've had 2 girls get eggbound in a week. They eat layer pellets and have oyster shell on the side.
