Callducks assisted hatching too early?

The exposed membrane needs to be moistened with some coconut oil or Vaseline, so it won’t dry out. It should also reveal if there are any active veins, which I can’t see in the original pic. Can you tell where the beak is located? Did it break through the membrane?
I moisted all the eggs but I have a hard time locating where the beak is located on them. none of them has broken through the membrane from what I can tell.

If they haven’t broken the membrane on their own, I’m sorry to say you assisted too soon. Normally if they don’t break the membrane on their own, they either aren’t close to hatching, or they’ve died.

Try holding your finger gently on the membrane, you should be able to feel movement. Or you should be able to see if they are breathing. Maybe get another for pic for us to see how they look now.

Call ducks are notorious for dying in the last couple of days before hatching, so don’t feel like you did anything wrong. Unfortunately, it’s just a fact of hatching calls. Also assisting is a slow, gradual, excruciating process most times. Timing is everything.

I sure hope you get a few to hatch.

Sadly they look this,

I see no barely any veins so I guess they didn't make it. Thanks anyways
