Calligraphy anyone?

It takes practice. The biggest thing is learning to hold the pen at the proper angle. There are all kind of fonts and stuff you can try, but I sometimes find myself just writing in my normal handwriting with the pen and it still looks pretty neat. I think I spent $15 on my pen and nib set and another $5 on extra ink cartridges. Books may run you $5-15 depending on which one(s) you buy, so it would cost you about $35 or so to try it. Although there may be books at the library so you could save on buying the books.

Oh wow! I used to do Calligraphy long ago. I just found my pens the other day cleaning out the craft box...

I learned in school about 7th grade I think... They put me in a special class for 'accidentally gifted' kids, lol. Anyway, the teacher was AWESOME and let US decide the different things we wanted to study. We did Calligraphy, Mythology, Geography and Archeology. It was a blast!

It really does improve your hand writing too.

It's not too difficult to learn, like Chevygirl said, practice and holding the pen at the right angle. Once you figure it out it's really easy! lol

The cool thing is there are so many pen and ink options now compared to when I was learning it. I just saw a website the other day that had so many lovely feather pens and beautiful ink colors. I need to go find that site again.....

all right, so my mother has translated them a bit for me. the bird is the phrase "in the name of god, most gracious, most merciful" the zebra basically just says zebra and the tiger says tiger, the cat is the word cat repeated a bunch of times as far as we can see.
