My uncle, wife, and son live in Columbia.
My aunt works at Ft. Jackson.
I'm not familiar with locations but they live on Valmire Dr.

I am originally from Columbia SC but now stay in Elgin SC.

My BIL is from Elgin, his name is John Hudson. His mother still lives there.

I was born and grew up in Columbia, SC in the '60s -'80s. After college in Hartsville, SC went back to Columbia a while then all the way over here to North Augusta, SC on the Carolina/Georgia Line. My Dad, brother, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles still live in Columbia.

When we aren't staying home enjoying the solitude we do trips to Atlanta (shopping and fiber arts guild), Columbia (family), Savannah (shopping), Hilton Head Island (to be beach bums), and Asheville, NC (annual fiber arts festival and mountain getaways).

I grew up in the city and always wanted chickens for eggs and pets. Now I'm an all grown up 40-something who lives in the county, not city limits. I finally got some chicks last spring (Red Sex-links, Black Sex-links, Americaunas, Barred Rock, bantam Cochins, OEGBs). Now trying to hatch Silkies and Salmon Favorelles.

We lived in Beaufort for 2 yrs.
DH was a Drill Instructor at Parris Island.
I'm familiar with Hilton Head, and the drive to Savannah for some shopping malls.
Being away from family was the worst part, but those pesky
little sand fleas were running a close 2nd.
