It's possible it's something like that because he was blocked up for about 3-4 days. But he's also had some sort of problem from day one. I'll check with my vet tomorrow for the meds mentioned in this article - namely the CD and Anti-toxin med.
As an FYI, and please everyone, no fighting - we do not vaccinate, medicate or worm our goats. In three years we've never had a problem. They roam the farm, woods, and pastures at will all day long and return to stables to sleep. The mothers stay in a clean, lighted, heated, tack room to give birth and for the first two weeks - then they rejoin the herd.
Our entire farm is all organic and natural. We don't medicate, vaccinate, or worm the sheep, chickens, peafowl, ducks, geese either and never had a sick animal - everyone free ranges - thanks to 6 dogs - all just about as great as Rex. We operate a closed herd and closed flock to help everyone, who has developed a wonderful natural and healthy resistance, stay that way.
