Calling all Homeschoolers

These are good tips! I've heard all the other stuff before, and 100% agree with you, but my issues is being a procrastinator. 😂
I do appreciate your warming me about that, probably good to know while I'm ahead.
Oh I procrastinate and then regret it so much becuas my grades end up sucking but I’ve been better at it and I listen to music/podcasts while I Do it so I get in a habit 🤣

kind of a hypocrite here sometimes 😅😂😂

Got back from it: any questions anyone has? Ill type up what i did there at 4h
One I guess. We're in difference states so the answers to my questions may vary, but I'll ask anyway.
I have a flock with ALV, Avian Leukosis Virus. Being aware that showing is a factor, and other poultry related stuff, is it okay that I wont be able to bring my own birds? Do you ever use your own birds other than shows or?
Thanks, I appreciate the help! ☺️

We area homeschool family here! I've been doing it for years, and really enjoy it! My hobbies are horseback riding and art! I am way more into horses tho lol. I'll ride either english, western, or bareback, but I mostly do barrel racing. My mare and I ended up getting Grand Reserve Champion this last year. Who knows if we will try again this year, shes been lame for no reason for months... well obviously for some reason. We just cant find it. Shes dead lame on the left front with no swelling or sign of anything. We did x rays and flexion tests and all sorts of stuff at the vet.(we are having a re-check with the vet this week). The vet hasnt been able to find anything and neither has the farrier. I also have bad tendonitis but we are working through our issues together! Homeschooling is nice cuz we can work around these obstacles without issues.
Wow! Thats amazing! I love bareback, and ride English style I guess. Treeless Ghost saddle, so I'd say my cues are English based. I've never been into barrel racing, but I've watched some and it seems really cool!
Thats so incredible that you wont a championship! Amazing! I have a family member who's really into it. She got to go to Vagus last year for barrel racing.
I'm sorry about your mare, I wish I had input. Do you use shoes? I am no expert, but I know my horses feet hurt less when we went barefoot. We use Scoot Boots for the transition, and hope to be able to be fully barefoot eventually. Not sure if it would help your mare, or if you've tried this already, but I am wishing you and her the best and hope you find the cause soon. :hugs:hugs

Also, I read earlier that some people in the thread are hoping to be vets when they’re older, I am too! I plan on being an exotic animal vet.

Anyway, so nice to meet you all!
Nice to meet you! Future vet here! I want to do excites, so does @cherrynberry! Holistic veterinary practice is a passion of mine as well, so we'll see where I get first. I really want to do both.
Also love photography, though I don't have a good camera for it... Yet!
I agree about the socializing, its the only thing I'm interested in for going back to public next year, though if I had to choose, I'd rather stay home with my chickens then go to school and socialize. 😆
Just know you always have friends here on BYC!

Uggghhhhh putting on my parent hat (sorry, I can't help it with a kiddo at home your age). It might be best to not include what grade you are in or what some of your schedules/routines are. Just reading through these posts makes my mom-heart cringe at the information available on a public forum: locations, activities, rough ages, interests. Scurry things to be putting on the internet.

-removing parent hat now-

Didn't think about this, the mods would probably agree. Editing
