Calling all Homeschoolers

I bet they weren't useless, they just needed guidance
Glad you haven't met them yet. Some people join just to start arguments and confuse people with false info. And apparently, they don't admit it either. But yes, most people on here are great people. I have made a ton of friends on this platform. :)

About your mare, get her tested for PPID.
Any horse that comes up lame for no reason should definitely be tested for it.
I hope it's not that, but it's always a good idea to be on the safe side.
The vet doesn't think she has enough of the symptoms, but when I take her in I'll ask again. Thank you. 😁 They will look farther into her shoulder when we go back. We were supposed to go tomorrow but a huge blizzard blew in and the roads aren't safe. They did a flexion test on her knee and it was very clear, she is DEAD lame on the left front knee. We were all expecting a fracture or severe arthritis, and found neither. The vet was shocked we didn't find anything. They said for a 21 year old horse her cartilage and bones look amazing. We were told to put her on bute for 2 weeks and we did and there is no change. Hopefully the vet will find something. :idunno

Sending my best to the both of you! I hope you find the cause. :fl

I hope she feels better

Good to meet you, too!

Hmm, I don't really have any hobbies. Unless you want to count being chickens as a hobby! I do blog some, though. I wish I could play a sport but there aren't many options for homeschoolers around here. If I take at least one class with the school system, I could play a sport. Sorry for rambling!
