calling all IRISH and Irish descendants

well lets see my grandmother on my moms side was german and Irish, the story goes that some relative of hers was tossed out of Ireland and thats how they got here. Thats where we all get the red tint to our hair. My grandfather was german. On my dads side my grandfather was Scotch (Stewart), English and german ( I think theres alot of german around here) and on my grandmothers theres Italilan and Pa Dutch. And my kids have even more in them. Oddly enough aside from my Scottish last name and all the german in me if you looked at me you would see the italian.

Just a note on how hard it can be to trace, my scottish last name Stewart was of course originally Stuart. My great grandmothers last name was Bartol but no when they came over it was Bartolomacotti and Ellis Island shortened it. And her father was from Tyrol which is no longer a country but now a town.

Im mostly (catholic)Scottish on half of the family, Stewart, Chisholm, MacDonald etc. In fact I live in the house that was homesteaded by my great great grandparents and they both spoke (scots) Gaelic before they spoke english(probably because of growing up in Nova Scotia).

However my other half is Manx, and when my grandfather went back to the Isle of Man to visit the ancestors, A dirty little family secret was revealed to him....The fact that the Manx Becks had perhaps originally been from Ireland. I dont know if its true, I might be Irish, but even If Im not, Manx and Scottish is as close as you will ever get.

My mom is 1/2 irish and 1/2 norweigan. My husband is 1/2 irish and 1/2 Potawatomi(native American) We have a daughter with black hair/blue eyes/fair skin our other daughter is blond with dark skin and blue eyes. A son that has reddish hair/dark skin/and brown eyes. A son with black hair/blue eyes/light skin and one that has brown hair/blue eyes and olive skin. I was trying for a red head child with brown eyes and dark skin but dh said enough is enough

I have irish on both my mom and dads side. My mom can even do the "irish Skip" really funny to watch. We also have scottish, welsh, natuve american and quite a few other things mixed in.
