Calling All New Brinsea Owners!!! February Hatch-a-long... PRIZES!!!

I got my Eco 20 all set up today... just checking it out and getting everything stabilized. Also I got an additional digital thermometer and a hygrometer that I am calibrating now as we speak. My Ameraucana eggs should be here soon!!!

Have Questions, need help please...

Just got everything up and running a few hours ago so I know things are still stabilizing but...

1. Added a new thermometer and it's reading 98.7*, but the thermometer it comes with says 101*.... ? Which one is right or are they both wrong?

2. I am currently calibrating my hygrometer... It's about 2 hours into the 8 hour wait and it's up over 80... will it stabilize as well come the 8 hour mark, or is it just REALLY off?

Thank you anyone who can help!

I can't see the hygrometer coming down but you never know! Did you calibrate the thermometer? If you google it you'll be able to find out how to do it, although it depends on the type of digital you have.

I'm going on 8 days now & I'm now becoming paranoid about the thermometer I'm using. The glass one from Brinsea was broken .Not wanting to wait I put this one in the bator. Has anyone ever used this one.

I am using the glass one in it, and an additional digital one... the glass one is reading between 100-101, and the digital between 98.4-99.4... I don't know which one to trust!

My hygrometer test read 80% for a few hours then dropped to 75% for a good while then when I woke up inn the morning it was at 80%, so should I split the difference also?

My first eggs are due to hatch next Sunday Feb. 6th. This is a test hatch of my new BLRW layers. Of the original 6 BLRW eggs, only one was fertile, and I had put one BLRW x EE egg in for fun and it is growing, so I only have the 2 eggs for a Feb. 6th hatch, but I put 3 more BLRW eggs in, Due Feb. 12th, and when I candled last night, all 3 are growing!

I'd go with the glass one . Your high on the hygrometer I'm at 40% did you set the vent. I've been having to add water once a day to maintain humidity but very little. I have 4 channels & am currently using only two. I've been adding water on one side then the next time I'll add water to the other side. I beleive you have two channels but are currently only using one. Did you use the pad they sent you? Listen to me I'm acting like a pro & this is my first bator. Maybe a seasoned pro will help us . I probably should of taken more time before loading the bator full of eggs. But everything seems good. My fingers & toes are crossed. When are you goona load that bad boy?
