This is my first time hatching, so I don't know how much it messed up the humidity?? I live in the desert and I did have problems keeping humidity up. I cut the egg cartons into individual cups and then cut the bottoms out. Then I dipped them in warm water before I put the egg in. I also folded a paper towel and put it in each of the water wells...like bridging the two channels. Almost every day in lockdown I had to drip water in with a straw through the vent hole. I kept the vent fully open. Not sure if this is the right way or wrong way to do it....but it seemed ok??
Fourth little one is busting out now...
Ooops....heading back I hear another chirping loud
Still to go...
1 BBS Copper Marans.....has ? on it because it looked suspicious at lockdown
2 Silver AMS
2 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten AMS
9 LW Ameraucana project (one is almost all the way zipped)
Here's hoping to more late bloomers.
The next batch of eggs are resting on my counter. I will set Saturday.
