Calling All New Brinsea Owners!!! January Hatch-a-long...

My temp spiked last night, I think I caught it in time but I guess only the test of time will tell the truth. Yes my humidity was running a little low, I filled both troughs and it seems decent now, not amazing the washcloth in mine bumped it up to over 60 and I wasn't looking or that quite yet! Mine might be holding due to those bits of egg carton I used a cups to stick extra eggs!

Guys Im having an issue with my brinsea-it is preset for 37.5 C not Farenheit:-( the digital thermometer I have inside ( and humidity gauge) says its 96.7 but if the brinsea says 37.5-38 it should be 99.5-100.5 right??? anyone??? should I ignore that digital thermometer I put inside-plus it says 22% humidity levels but dang I dont think I can put more water in those wells either?? Im getting worried that stupid thing I put in is WAY off!

enggass barnies and my BCM's came from wthchrsti--great wrapping job

Your temp spiked? That is NOT supposed to happen with these incubators. What model do you have, how high did it go, where was your temp set and what did you do?

Sonew,
Could your digital monitor be off?
Can you contact Brinsea to see if they can tell what farinheight that is?
I am not sure on celsius readings. Wish I could be more helpful.

I have a graph from brinsea to folow but it only goes as high as 37.5 celcius :-( if thats 99.5 then 38 celcius can't be near 102? I m guessinf 100.5-101 which is good for me-so Im going to say screw the digital I put in-Ill get another one I needed one for the humidty levels is all-and I cant afford to lse this hatch to drwoning again because now I spent a chunk of change on these eggs!!! thanks for the help

Nat
99.5 degrees Fahrenheit = 37.5 degrees Celsius
100 degrees Fahrenheit = 38 degrees Celsius
Here is the conversion calculator if you need it.

There is probably some kind of switch or button on it to change the reading. I have the brinsea spot check and there is a switch on it.
If you get a hygrometer make sure you calibrate it. Instructions are somewhere on BYC....mine was like 9% off.
