Well it says you can brood 20 chicks so I would estimate an easy 30 plus. Guess I really need to start hatching huh?

I had no illusions that I would win, plus I have no patience anyway. I bought one and am using it now. It's wonderful and the chicks are very happy using it.

They stay under to warm up, then come out to run around, eat, drink, and then go cack under it to warm up again.

I have 13 Speckled Sussex eggs in my Octagon 20 due to hatch March 10th!!

And man does this thing hold temps like a dream!!

LOL I got censored- it was a female dog not grump........ A bunch of us Crazy Canucks have Tshirts that we wear to dog trials with that expression on it!

They are due to hatch on the 3rd. Maybe I'll have an early arrival!

I just ditched an quitter egg that stopped developing around day 10, and locked down the rest! So, I have nine active and expected hatchlings! This new Brinsea made a tough experience sweet and easy, though the next few days will determine whether it was worth it!
