Really? Barring is almost invisible on splash.Splash, cuckoo would look neat.
Breed the LC to the jubilee. He has the barring gene. She has the mottled gene. Besides that theyre fairly close. LC has a dilute gene that changes red to buff and a gene to remove the black tail.
You can get some interesting varieties from crossing that pairs offspring.
Thinking up more interesting color, pattern possibilities.
Wouldn't hurt to try it.Really? Barring is almost invisible on splash.
Lavender is recessive, so you'll need two copies. It's another black diluter gene, like blue, but different. Blue is dominate over black.EXACTLY! It’s kind of hard! I was doing plans in my head and thought about if I got a silver laced orp roo and bred it to my Lavender hen to try to throw a “lavender laced” but I thought the black in the silver laced would dominate the lavender gene which would darken the whole pattern outI reaaaaally love the lacing look and that is the ONLY coloring/breed I haven’t ever had!
A lavender laced Orpington will look cool.EXACTLY! It’s kind of hard!
