I have two Lav. Orpingtons are 15 weeks old now. They are a beautiful color. One has curly feathers on her tail the other has straight feathers, both still look like pullets. I like the difference so I can tell them apart.

Why Ebay?

Also finding bantam blue laced red Wyandotte eggs is a struggle there's only one seller on ebay with them

I may need an Orpington intervention Chicken math struck hard, and now my list of Orps is: 2 Buff, 2 Mauve, 1 Mottled, 1 Chocolate, 1 Black, 1 Blue
I guess I have all that I need to do some fun color projects, assuming the Chocolate really is a roo (4 weeks old and we're already pretty sure).

They're just such sweet chickens. One of my buffs is nicknamed Handbag Hilda because she just wants to be tucked under your arm and carried around all. day. long!

Because they have all the breeds I want and not that expensive (to me) plus some have free shipping. I will do the first incubation with the wyandottes and seramas and the second one will be porcelain and mille fluer d'uccles.

Hatching eggs is so much fun! I hope you have a good hatching rate! When are you planning on incubating?

Um, probably a mouth or so maybe later. I was gonna do it sooner but now I have these babies I need to raise.

I have been getting eggs from ebay, and a 50% hatch rate is standard for shipped eggs. My last hatch 0 out of 36 hatched. The one before that, the ameraucanas, 12 out of 12 hatched. It's a crap shoot. Maybe look on Craigslist for a local seller first>
