Ahhh isn’t she a cutie 🥰

I know, Roxy is so gorgeous isn’t she?? She’s totally bonded to Nohope too. They are so precious. When one is gone the other paces and cries ❤️❤️

Also I have no willpower…and brought home three more Orpington chicks 🤦🏼‍♀️ But how do you NOT get guaranteed pullets??

Precious babies! I've never seen a mauve orpington....I have to ask Mr. Google.
I love those names too.

Awww....I love all the pics that everyone has posted❤️.

I have 9 buff orps. They are almost 5 months old now. We are patiently (not really) awaiting our first eggs🤞. We chose orps because in doing research they seemed to be a good pick for first time chicken people...which we are.

One in particular we named Hey Hey (from the Moana movie) is the nicest of the bunch and wants to be picked up all the time. The rest are all very nice but she is the sweetest. They follow us around the run wherever we go.
Even if they see me in the house look out the window at them, they run over to the side of the fence😍.

I would like to get some lavender orps in the future...I just think they are beautiful too!!

Thank you to everyone for posting on this thread!

Congratulations on your first chicks and welcome to the thread. Orpingtons are wonderful! I have blue and buff and would love lavender! My friend has some and boy lavender is gorgeous. Hope you get some eggs soon!

Mine started laying at about 25 weeks old. Now she acts like she is the boss. If i dont pick her up she pecks me. And if i pick another chicken up and not her she pecks the other chicken. And now recently she started acting really mean so i have to either hold her when i go in the run or i have to put her in the coop.

I'm hatching some porcelain/lavender, a lighter lavender if you're anywhere near Goldendale, WA. I can't ship yet.
Ugh don't test me like that, my chick addiction is already so bad! I can't take anymore right now 😕 1. I need to save room for my hatch in a few months (I already broke my rule and bought chicks 5 weeks ago). And 2. I'm in FL. Thanks for the offer though 👍
