CALLING ALL ORPINGTON OWNERS!

Pics
Yikes! Four of the 12 Isabel hatched and they seem friendly to me. Oh wait, those weren't from CRC, those were from Papas. My hatch from CRC was horrid, but one of my incubators was heat spiking so I had to replace it. I got 2 red cuckoo and 2 Isabel from them. If the chicks weren't straight run, I'd buy chicks. My post office can't seem to get employees and the ones they do get don't pay attention.
What is CRC? Just curious!

You all have me convinced to try another couple of Orpington chicks. We have a lavender orp in our mixed flock, and she’s by far the least friendly of the bunch. She’s been that way since she was tiny. Always screaming when you pick her up, and now she’ll bite when you try to pick her up. We handled her more than any of the others because she was such a maniac chick. 😂 luckily she’s fine as long as you don’t try to handle her, and shes friendly enough with the other girls. I tell her all the time though that she better be nice or she’ll be the first one in the cook pot. (Only Kidding- don’t think we could eat any of these birds.)
Definitely give them another try! They really are gentle sweet birds 95% of the time! 😍 Hope is 9.5 weeks old and she loves sitting with me :)

And even though she is broody and my daughter decided she needed to come out of the nest box…Elinor my giant English Orp just tolerated it and grumbled about it haha 😂 She looks so pleased to be held doesn’t she?? 😆😆

They are adorable! I’ll put them on my short list for my next group of chicks. Thank you!
