Chickassan
RIP 1975-2022
To help keep her firm until the molt passes squish up a handful of plain old cheerios and add to her food. Don't know why but that really helps the excess juice. Hobo is going through similar. Molting, juicy crusty butt, and generally shying from the feeder. Tried calf manna but she'd not have it so tried cheerios and now solid poop. She also lost condition, not a big dominique to begin with so it was fairly noticeable. Gaining a little back since food is spending more time in the chicken.
Also, unrelated but I love that you have an Ethel. Got a SS Ethel here, she's very bossy.

Update: Ethel's poop has slowly improved after I took the step of preventing her being bullied away from the feeders. In fact, after just two days of protective treatment, she regained her self confidence and began asserting herself at the food dishes. This morning when cleaning the poop boards, I couldn't tell which night deposit was hers.
