Calling all rabbit experts! Skin rash on my Lionhead?

Hi all,

So I have two Lionhead Dwarf rabbits, and today I noticed a patch of what looks like eczema (I know, I have it on my hands) on Simba, our boy. It’s on his upper back just below his neck.
He’s about 5 years old, he’s been fixed, and their generally healthy except for the fact that they both have malocclusion (we have their teeth clipped by a local veterinarian when they get too long).

They get plenty of hay and a reasonable portion of pellets. Does he have some kind of disease??

Look for fleas and lice.
Rabbits have super sensitive skin and can suffer from allergies and parasites just like we can, which is why they are used to test products on before selling to the human public.
Flakiness and wounds can be from fleas and/or lice/mites and the rabbit scratches itself to relieve itching.
Look all over its skin, turn it over & examine its undersides and around the rear end, look for small, actually super tiny bugs. Mites can be in the rabbit's ear also....so look there. These bugs like to be where the animal cannot get to, like behind the head/neck and the rear end areas.

Thank you, I’ll look him over. I know there’s nothing wrong with his rear, we have to clean them quite a bit when poop clings to their hair. I’ll make sure to check in his ears really good.
