That worked for my first bunny that chewed a lot. You have to cover every inch of the wire though, because rabbits will always find some way to get what they want.

Yes and no. As Elk said, they can easily chew through them if they want. But in my (limited) experience the covers seem to be less attractive to rabbits than exposed cords are.
