Calling All Rabbit Nutters

I totally agree! I meant no personal attack. And i am so sorry @EverythingDucks if you took offense. I meant none by it. :hugsI simply commented here to help Kiki. Like we all did!
You're totally fine, it seems we simply had a misunderstanding. It takes a lot more than that to offend me :)
Also, I am 100% with you on having plenty of hay for rabbits at all times as an absolute must.

No one has the same setup for rabbits.
People keep them in outdoor runs, hutches, house rooms, fish tanks ect ect. (Not the last one)
There is no right or wrong way exactly.

Mine live in big hutches which some people might call "cruel" despite the fact that there are hundreds of people keeping their rabbits on wire mesh floors which risks damaging their feet.(opinion)

As to water drinkers. Mine have always had a bottle drinker and have been just fine but I have never kept giant breeds which drink as much as a horse so I can't speak for the people who do.
Whenever I have tried water dish/bowl drinkers, they turn into a mushy mess of bedding and food which is not very drinkable

There is no reason to take offense to an opinion.

I wouldn't use a water bottle because of the unnatural angle they have to drink from, which can cause spinal issues. They're hard to clean too, and bacteria can get caught in them, especially in the nozzle. And they don't provide enough water for rabbit who drink as much as a large dog. This can cause your rabbit to be dehydrated and unhealthy, so water bowls are much better. If you're rabbit is getting stuff in the water dish then you can get one in a stand, and if it's still getting stuff in there anyways then the rabbit probably need fresh water anyways.
Lots of people that keep pet rabbits have paper bedding in their enclosures that ends up in water dishes, but having the bedding there in the first place in unnecessary. Rabbits end up using the whole enclosure as a litter box because of the bedding, and then they're living in their waste. They do much better without it all together, not to mention how much money it saves to not have to pay for that.
Niven has bedding. She loves digging it it and arranging it to her satisfaction. She still uses her litter box for her business.

Ooh, I forgot about dig boxes. I think those are a great source for enrichment for bunnies.
But since Niven free roams, her whole enclosure isn't full of bedding like a cage would be so that works a lot better.

Okay, no laughter please. Niven is just a poor backwoods country bunny not one of these fancy rich city bunnies that are all over Pinterest. I made or repurposed a lot of this stuff. I call it “tacky but functional” Others may call it ghetto lol.

This is her crate. She stays in it at night and when we are not home. It is an xxl dog crate we already had on hand. Inside she had a hide (that she mostly sleeps on), hay holder, litter box, toys, water and food dishes. I keep most of her supplies on top. This was right after I cleaned though so the dishes were still in the sink.
I have a water bowl that locks to the side of the crate so she can’t tip it over and it is high enough from the ground that nothing

Niven is out to roam when we are home and free to watch her. She has a corner of the living room that is just hers. It has hay, water, a mat, hides boxes, a tunnel, and a dig box. She also has a litter box in a different corner of the room.
