Calling All Rabbit Nutters

I sure hope not! 5 out of my 7 are under six months and eat the same food as their parents. The babies would sneak moms veggies as soon as they could get out of the nest box. I would put it back in her food bowl but she’d keep taking it out to eat and theyd sneak more. Like @R2elk said, it depends on how much you give and what type. At this size I would give a leaf of lettuce and watch. Keep doing that each day with new foods, just a tiny amount and watch. Check his poops. Im sure you know about cecotropes, but keep an eye out on too many cecotropes and runny or too soft regular poo.
The first of any new species as a pet/livestock is so nerve wracking! 🤣
I cant help but think if the Luvs diaper commercials :lau
Ceco what's?

He poops little round balls. That's all I know.

Argh!! My post I was typing disappeared 😭.
I will have to explain cecotropes in simpler terms it seems since my tablet found it too complicated apparently 🙄

Cecotropes are partially digested food pellets. They look like brown and squishy blackberries. Bunnies pull them out of their bums and eat them to get the extra nutrients left behind.

Or lord... Don't tell me he's going to start eating his own poop. I will return him.

Fortunately there was no Internet when I was raising rabbits. I worked in a grocery store and brought home the daily produce trimmings by the banana box full. It was mostly lettuce trimmings and all of my rabbits got free choice of it no matter what their age was. Of course I also let them have all the grass they would eat.

I never lost any bunnies because of what I fed them. The only time any died was when they were invited to dinner.
