Calling All Rabbit Nutters

I have NO idea if this is the right place to post, but I'm guessing people on this thread know their rabbit stuff.

I'm taking care of my neighbors rabbit. He's un-neutered, (they're planning to have that done soon, though) but his bottom is covered in poopy/urine soaked mats. Any tips to get them out? They are THICK.

I have a couple of questions...
How long have you been taking care of it?
What does its house look like?

Just today and the next couple days. It's their daughters, but she hasn't been taking the best care of him. They're trying to motivate her, and they were going to start trimming it, but they had to go on their trip. We volunteered to trim it.

I can try and get a picture, he has an outdoor chicken coop like thing and an indoor large-ish cage with alfalfa, food bowl and litter box, a little shelf that he likes to jump on, water thing, etc. (sorry that I don't have good information)

It probably looks a bit like this
