Calling All Rabbit Nutters

It’s not the sign that I’m talking about.
But it says not to put your fingers in the bars and to leave the bunnies alone.
Dumb cages in stores are temporary.

Anyone have experience with a young doe rabbit who didn’t have any mothering instincts with her first litter? Tips or advice on what can make it better for a second try?
Did she eat them?

Did she eat them?
Yes and she didn’t build a nest at all! Well we only found one kit with its ear chewed off, so I assume she had more that she ate. Then after a couple days (we had to make her feed the one) it also disappeared. She must have been too stressed with that. After researching, I do believe it was just because she wasn’t mature enough. So I’ve waited about 3 months in between trying again. Everything I read said to give them a second chance (some even said a third chance but idk that I can do that if she fails this time). She had been a more skittish rabbit but I’ve really been working on building her trust and getting her more calm which she has improved. She loves to be pet and rubbed now. So I’m crossing my fingers. But if anyone else has any helpful tips, I’ll try them! She’s due Oct 27th!

So I built an extra big nesting box for my english lop but she passed away before ever using it. Could i use that nest for a mini rex? I mean I know I could. im really asking would a mini rex mind the extra room in the larger nesting box or should I build one a little smaller for her?
