Admittedly I don't have experience with false pregnancies, but I will always advocate that if it is feasible for you, spay your female bunnies. It drastically cuts down on negative behaviors (such as future false pregnancies) as well as the chance of several common illnesses, such as uterine cancer.Question for the rabbit experts… what should I do in the case of a false pregnancy? I’ve read to let them nest and eventually they’ll lose interest and it’ll go away. If they don’t lose interest after a good amount of time is that concerning? Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future? Maybe spaying her? Should I be doing anything else? Sorry for so many questions
Looks like a wild buns.... Can you pet or pick up?Found this hiding behind what is left of the old dog house. I only checked there because I saw it sneak into that yard.

It's a wild cottontail.Looks like a wild buns.... Can you pet or pick up?
Our buns either escaped his cage or was dumped at our horse training barn. The kids there thought he was wild but he kept coming up to them and pawing them. When I heard about it, I told them wild bunnies do not come begging for help. A few weeks later, he came up to them again. The barn manager picked him up and brought him to me. Lucky the little guy wasn't killed by a predator... I have no idea how long he was fending for himself but he was covered in seed ticks. I took him to the vet for a check up and treated him for the ticks, fleas, etc. No one came forward to claim him so we permanently adopted him... Going on 3 yrs now. He is so sweet and wonderful (provided he isn't chewing on cords or furniture...).
