Take over BYC? LOL. You'll need some help from the REAL NAVY!!! Hahahaha. USS Hoist ARS-40 (pulls grounded subs off sandbars and raises sunken subs out of Davey Jones' Locker), USS Simon Lake AS-33 (fixes yall when you're broke down), USS Mount Baker AE-34 (ok- target lol), USS Dwight D Eisenhower CVN-69 (did you join us for our first Med cruise in 1979?), USS Spruance DD-963 (outruns torpedos lol) Do I miss it? Nope!

I've only got one thing to say about the "real Navy" LOL

Anyway, so as not to take over this thread I was going to start a thread and ask the BYC staff if they can add a topic for vets and their families? If you are in favor please visit and say yes.

My handsome better-half served 10 years total in the military, both in the U.S. Navy during Desert Shield (before Desert Storm) and as an officer in the United States Coast Guard.

I love looking at old pics of him from when he was in the military. He was sooooo handsome in his dress uniform.

Thank you to all who have served and are serving our country. I appreciate all the sacrifices you have made in order to keep us safe and protect the freedoms we enjoy in the USA.

All four of my brothers were in the Armed Forces (2 Army MP's, a Navy Seal who ended up on the USS Philadelphia sub after getting hurt too badly to continue to be a seal, and an Air Force accountant), and a brother-in-law who was Army Infantry and was in Somalia when the incident the movie Blackhawk Down was based on. I have never served, but am a member of the Patriot Guard. We should honor our veterans and active duty military every day, and their families who sacrifice so much. THANK YOU!
