Calling all x-box fans...which 360 do I need?

I want to get the most basic x-box 360 there is, the one that just plays regular games (like Halo 3) and doesn't have all the additional stuff. I don't need extra memory or whatnot, just the ability to play the Halo games and other x-box games. Wal Mart has a deal going on but I don't know if the arcade version 360 is the one I need. This is for my 6 yr old....

We bought the arcade version, it came with a memory card and a controller, I believe?

Works fine, we've gotten a harddrive for it since, but the memory card worked great, and it played all the Xbox360 games fine, and some of the older ones. Not all of the older ones though, you need "updates" to play certain regular Xbox games, a real pain in the butt, just stick to 360 games.

Anyways, the Arcade version is probably your best bet, you have to have some sort of memory device, and it should come with a memory card that is more than adequate. I hope I've helped.
