A lot of ankle scratching, lol

I picked up some seed ticks on Saturday when doing chores at one of the bee hives... I know the rest of you Missouri folks like those bugs ;), but I’m not a fan.

We have some evening primrose blooming

And our peach trees are ‘plum’ full... last year we got quite a few... this year we’ll see what the squirrels and bugs leave us

Seed ticks :sick
Be glad if they stopped at your ankles and didn't travel farther up. :gig

My DH has been getting a lot of seed ticks in spite of spraying up w repellent before venturing out of the yard....
I like also using peppermint soap after being out in tick/chigger country. I think it really helps...bugs don't like peppermint.

Thanks! I might have to try that ... I try not to spray with much of anything when working the bees... the natural stuff is so flowery smelling it can get them too interested in me... and the other stuff is just generally bad for the bees... but peppermint might just work.

My grandad used to rub kerosene on his pant legs to keep the ticks off... and he smoked, lol
