Good morning all!!! Beautiful morning here! Only 2 out of 7 hens laid yesterday, guess they hate the rainy weather too. But there is alot of cackling going on this morning!!! I took my frizzle polish out of the turner, got new thermostats, got sponges wet and water resivoirs filled up. Waiting on temp to come back up and humidity to rise so I can adjust. Hatching starts Thursday! I got a digital thermostat that stays outside with a wire that goes into the bator. It seems to be very accurate so far! PLUS ...............Thanks to Eden (can I call you Pat?) I won an auction for 24 sizzle eggs!!!!
And anyone who wishes can call me Jac.
 
Yes it's the swap thingy!! It's a thursday thru sunday swap for anything and everything. Lots of birds of all kinds show up. Even goats, bunnies, and misc. stuff. Everything including the kitchen sink!

Hey I have a question for you bator folks......
I've got a lot of important (read blew a wad on) eggs to hatch that are going under broodies (muscovy). I've seen rigs that have a mesh basket under a light bulb used to finish out a hatch. Guess pull the eggs the day before they are due to start hatching and pop in. Can keep an eye on and assist if needed. No worries about getting squished or knocked out of the nest. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and if it works good - some slick suggestions about rigging one up on the cheap would be appreciated.

Sounds like fun! I wont have anything to sell, but would love to come see what everyone has and meet BYC ppl!
