Did you win your auction yet Manning?

Sundial - are you talking about Buff Orphingtons or Buffs? BO's are pretty good broodys themselves.

Doesnt end till 10pm but looks like I will get them, and she offered 24 if I wanted them!

I have 2. Not sure of kind. 1 is grey with white belly. Other is grey. My sister had them hatch. She had 9 babies plus 4 adults. She just wanted to get rid of some. I said I'd take them and we caught 2 then gave up! Had them about 2 years. Still have ticks! Lol!! They don't get out everyday though. Trying to make that happen this spring.
Pied pearl and pearl on the other it sounds like - kind of a medium grey with distinct white spots?
Can't expect 2 widdle guineas to eat all the ticks in your yard - they'd POP! You need more.
Think I've got about 2 weeks on a batch of guinea eggs hatching. Could fix ya up.
Not sure if I have an extra adult male or not.

Buff Orpingtons, we've always just called them "buffies". It seems to be pretty hit-and-miss for us with them, but we do have an amazing nanny BO hen who still sticks to her (now adult) babies like glue though it might be because they're basically the entire flock now. It makes me wish we had some fertile eggs for her to sit, she acts like a pro even though she's never had any clutches of her own!

She gets really fussy about eggs (she's getting to be old for a chicken and doesn't lay often, I'm pretty sure she just sits on her babies' eggs sometimes), so I'm confident she'll sit on any we give her. And hmm, I wonder where that could be!
