Lightening is bad here. I hope I stay on. Tomorrow is hatch day for my last 6 Tolbunts!!! I am thinking about buying some eggs at JC. Do you remember seeing a good variety of hatching eggs there before? I am just afraid of getting birds due to quarantine. I really have no where to do that.

I don't remember many eggs. But i wasn't looking for them either!

I hope your power stays on.

Oh yeah... Amazing how when you panic you forget simple truths! I will move it back to floor...

Next problem is humidity has shot through the roof!!! I am so not getting sleep tonight!!

I would worry about high humidity for a few hours a lot less than losing egg core temp.

Breathe, you're doing all you can do. It's eggs, not children.

Can you believe how bad OKC got hit? 51 dead, most children. 140 hosp and half those children. No telling how many more missing or buried under the rubble from that leveled school.

I know when I was up there last week she had paints blacks whites and partridge and she has eggs hatching this week and next so when I have a new question or problem or even extra allowance I will see her she has the prettiest peafowl and birds all around

Figured out why humidity went so high. One of rhe bags of hot water leaked everywhere. Wer blankets and table top... Got that cleaned up and decided to put a coulple of the bags in the bator. Temp jumped right up! Went to 102... Took out one of the bags. Opened the lid and temp is back down to 100 and humidity is slowing going down.

Now if the power comes back on...

I heard OK got hit but not how terrible. That is horrid! And yes you are right, the problem I have is so small compared to that anguish!! God please be with that town and their families!!

Can you warm towels up in your oven safely to say 150 for 5 min then wrap your bator with them

Got to thinking........(always dangerous)........

by the time I actually break down and buy an incubator.............

I'm gonna know enough from problem solving and hand wringing with your experiences to be a Master Bator!

All my appliances are electric so nope, I can't do that either ..

This is why we've decided we're building solar panels and windmills to electrify our house...
